Books That Inspired Olivia Rodrigo

She calls herself a lifelong Twihard and Team Edward, and a copy sat on her Vogue shelf. No irony required, and none offered.

A songwriter friend handed her Cohen's posthumous poems and notebook pages, and Russh calls it a key influence. Read it as a working songwriter's scrapbook.

She was spotted reading Miranda July's National Book Award finalist on Instagram Stories in late 2025. It's a current-reading pick, not a formative one.

Rodrigo called it brilliant from a stage in 2023. If her feminist reading list is your way in, Kendall is a sharp place to begin.

Patti Smith gave her this one, inscribed, while Guts was being recorded. Hard to beat that provenance, and it's on her Vogue shelf too.
