Blending supernatural elements with modern romantic comedy, the My Vampire series brings humor, banter, and cozy charm to paranormal romance. Author Jenna Levine established a distinct voice in contemporary romance with her USA Today bestselling debut My Roommate Is a Vampire, creating stories where unlikely couples navigate both ordinary human challenges and absurd magical dilemmas. Her narratives center on warm, lighthearted connections with guaranteed happy endings regardless of who—or what—the characters happen to be.
Career & Background
Beyond her literary work, Levine maintains a full-time career dedicated to public service, working by day to increase access to affordable housing across the American South. Writing primarily by night, she turned her passion for humorous contemporary and paranormal fiction into a successful publishing career. When she is not writing, Levine can often be found watching Korean television dramas, starting knitting projects she rarely finishes, imagining hiking long distances through scenic locations, or spending time with her family and a small army of cats. She also shares updates on her creative work with readers via Instagram under the handle @jennalevinewrites.
Writing Style & Themes
Levine's writing combines cozy romantic tropes, quick-witted dialogue, and lighthearted supernatural twists. Her work frequently explores themes of acceptance, unexpected companionship, and female empowerment through low-stress, humorous plotlines.
