I fell for the villain. It happened back when I was a clueless girl. But he ruthlessly broke my heart and trapped it in a jar. Since then, I’ve sworn to hate him to the end of my days. Eli King might be a savage devil, but I’m out of his way. And league. That is until I wake up in a hospital and find him holding my hand. He tells me the words that change my life forever. “We got married two years ago, Mrs. King.” So I set out to investigate how I landed myself into this marriage. Turns out, my memories are darker than my present. I thought I was ready for the hurricane. I thought I could handle his soulless eyes and cold shoulder. I thought wrong. Nothing can stop my husband. Not the secrets surrounding us. Not the hatred between us. Not even me.

Legacy of Gods
6 books in catalog
Dark romance fiction often explores intense psychological conflict and morally ambiguous characters through interconnected narrative universes and high-stakes suspense. Author Rina Kent has established a dedicated global readership through her sprawling fictional world known as the Rinaverse, which features unapologetic anti-heroes, suspenseful plot twists, and intense enemies-to-lovers dynamics. Her popular Legacy of Gods series exemplifies this signature approach, introducing readers to dark romance narratives filled with forbidden desires and complex anti-heroes, as showcased in God of Malice.
Kent's interest in dark fiction began at age five after she found herself empathizing with the villain of an indie film rather than the hero. This early perspective fostered a fascination with misunderstood outcasts, morally grey men, and complex antagonists. Over time, her imaginative storytelling led her to write romantic suspense and dark romance, eventually becoming a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author. Based in London, Kent continues to expand her interconnected book series while traveling, hiking, and caring for her cats.
Kent's narrative style is marked by emotional intensity, angst, psychological suspense, and unexpected plot turns. Her stories regularly feature enemies-to-lovers tropes, masked anti-heroes, and ruthless male protagonists who test moral boundaries. Despite the dark atmospheres and high-stakes danger surrounding her characters, Kent grounds her narratives in underlying romantic dynamics and obsessive emotional connections that drive the overarching plots forward.
