Rachel Reid is the pen name of Rachelle Goguen, who was born on September 2, 1980, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She adopted her pen name because she found it much easier to say, spell, and remember than her birth name. Reid has spent her entire life in Nova Scotia, where she lives with her family. Before becoming a published novelist, she completed two academic degrees—which she humorously describes as boring—raised two kids, and worked as a burlesque dancer. A fan of hockey since childhood, Reid secretly drafted her debut novel, Game Changer, without informing her husband or parents until shortly before its release. Published by Carina Press in 2018, the book launched her popular Game Changers male/male romance series, which has since achieved New York Times bestseller status and been adapted into a television series titled Heated Rivalry.
