A human who opened the wrong magical book, her stern boss, and his "friend" who says he can help... I've been cursed. Not metaphorically. Not, "Oh no! I spilled my coffee!" or "I broke a heel!" No. I've been cursed by a book and now I'm a danger to everyone I care about. After finding out that the things that go bump in the night are real a few weeks ago, this is doing nothing for my peace of mind. Pair it all with the fact that the boss I can hardly speak to seems to be the only one with any answers and the tension between him and the seductive expert he's brought in... The outlook for this group project is alarming... but my body is acting like it knows things my mind won't yet accept. Monster romance and paranormal fantasy fiction have expanded rapidly through stories featuring mythical creatures, shapeshifters, and non-human love interests. Author Lillian Lark writes explicit monster romance novels that combine fantasy tropes, multi-partner dynamics, and emotional intimacy, gaining broad reader recognition with titles such as Stalked by the Kraken and Deceived by the Gargoyles.
Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Lillian Lark developed an early interest in reading before pursuing a career in independent publishing. Utilizing a background in graphic design, she designs her own book covers and manages her visual branding. Lark began publishing paranormal romance in 2020, releasing Three of Hearts as part of her Harpies of a Feather series in November of that year. She subsequently expanded her release schedule through self-publishing platforms and actively built her audience by sharing writing insights and promotional content on social media channels such as TikTok.
Lark's work focuses on erotic monster romance, urban fantasy settings, and high-heat relationship narratives. Her books frequently incorporate non-traditional romantic structures, including polyamorous relationships and why-choose dynamics, alongside themes of mutual acceptance, kink, and emotional healing. By combining explicit fantasy eroticism with character-driven plots, her narratives explore how non-human partners navigate affection, trust, and commitment.
