Born in Nacogdoches, Texas, in 1977, Baldree spent decades working in the video game industry prior to his full-time literary career. As a lead designer and developer, he helped create popular game titles such as Fate, Torchlight, and Rebel Galaxy, later serving as co-owner and CEO of Double Damage Games. Alongside his work in interactive software, he built an extensive career as an audiobook narrator, lending his voice to hundreds of titles, including Will Wight's popular Cradle series.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Baldree turned to writing prose and self-published his debut novel, Legends & Lattes, in 2022. The book's rapid success led to traditional publishing deals and broad commercial acclaim.
