Kealan Patrick Burke was born on August 4, 1976, in Dungarvan, County Waterford, Ireland. Growing up with an early passion for dark literature and storytelling, he spent his formative years in Ireland before emigrating to the United States in August 2001, just weeks prior to the events of September 11. He subsequently settled in Delaware, Ohio, where he established his professional career in writing and graphic design.

Over the course of his literary career, Burke has authored six novels, numerous novellas, and multiple short story collections, in addition to editing dark fiction anthologies. Alongside his writing, he works as a book cover designer and photographer.
