Career & Background

Born in Torrance, California, in 1971, Beagin spent parts of her youth in Lowell, Massachusetts. In her mid-30s, she returned to higher education, attending the University of Massachusetts Boston before earning a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from the University of California, Irvine.
